    Letter and document sent to Mrs. William McKinley by a committee of
    San Andreas, Calaveras County, Calfornia
    citizens following the assassination death of her husband.
    The lot includes a 1p  letter, plus 1p document with Resolutions - both signed in ink by
    C. V. Gottshalk,
    Ira Hill Reed and F. J. Galinsky.
    C. V. Gottshalk
    was the judge in the 1883 trial of the notorious Western outlaw and bandit, Black Bart - Charles E. Bolton aka Boles - and sent him to San Quentin prison
