I really love this little unique beauty.
This horn is 7.37mm in diameters inside.  22 - 23mm long.
9mm long of gold part. Loop 4.5mm in diameter and 2mm wide.
7.5mm deep of gold to the glass.
This is absolutely unique work. Quality of this work just say – it was made for rich, powerful person. It is pendant. I’m thinking it was used not only like jewelry, but amulet too. We can see very sharp end of the horn. Jewelry with sharp details were used as protection against to evil and negative energy. Horn shape can symbolize personal power.  Even now days in some countries consuetude or folklaw – man need to drink red wine from long horn to show – hi is real strong man.
Empty part between glass and top of the retor – by my opinion could be used as a container for salt, for the earth or sand. And maybe even for a poison or perfume. I think that there was still a cap. It is only my opinion – maybe I’m wrong. I’m thinking it was special order – because I show this in few museums and gallery - it is no analog. Every expert say – it is unique. I check many books with ancient gold – no similar items.

There are no repairs.   This glass bead  shows a beautiful original patina and wear. Expected corrosion and wear are a consequence of age and extended burial.

I’m collecting ancient beads from 1979. Most of my beads were found in Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. To be precise they were found between Mary city (Turkmenistan) and Samarkand (Uzbekistan). That area in past was called Bactria. Nowadays there are a lot of ruins older than 2000 years in this region.
I like ancient beads very much and want that other collectors will be able to obtain them without paying a lot of money. That is why my prices are very modest.
I lived in Asgabat city (the capital of Turkmenistan) over 30 years. About 15 km from Asgabat there is Nisa – former residence of Alexander the Great,and capital of Parthia.
In most cases the ancient beads, not only played the role of jewelry but also the status of the person wearing them. You were able to tell the social status of an individual based on the beads they were wearing, while other used these beads as talismans protecting themselves against bad luck and the evil eye.
Certain beads that have zigzagging lines are supposed to confuse the evil eye which would get lost in these lines, Beads that have the image of an eye try to just absorb the evil energy, and thus protect the person who is wearing them. Periodically the beads would be washed in salt water, because it is believe the salt water kills the negative energy. The image of the eye was sometimes very abstract and was more like an image of a flower, however sometimes the beads would correctly reflect the wearers eyes, including the color.
