    Description

    Ancient Egyptian faience & carnelian necklace
    1 century BCE to 1 century CE
    Egypt
    Composed of 8 faience melon beads, 3 faience amphora amulets, 2 faience double chamber amulets, 14 globular carnelian beads and multiple small cylindrical faience beads. Carnelian beads are drilled from both ends with opposed conical openings. All beads are from the same period and culture.
    Good condition, all beads and amulets are intact with no restoration.
    Largest amphora amulet: diameter 9 mm,  H. 21 mm.
    Necklace is 17.5" ( 44.5 cm) long (with clasps).
