    Overview
DropEx Plus is an excellent field testing tool to identify explosives or test for explosive residue before or after a blast. Soils, objects, and facilities can be tested after a blast for residue. DropEx Plus tests for explosives covered by Expray® Plus but in liquid form rather than aerosol.
    Benefits & Features
Fast and easy to use: may be used with test paper or sprayed directly on surface or object Immediate test results Safe to use: not toxic (no special measures required for disposal) Low cost per test Can test for trace explosive residues as little as 20 nanograms
    Specifications
Bottle #1 - tests for polynitro aromatic explosives
    Bottle #2 - tests for nitrate-esters nitromines
    Bottle #3 - tests for chlorates/bromates
Dropex Bottle A - tests for incendiary chlorates and bromates
Dropex Bottle B+- tests for peroxide-based
Dropex Bottle U - test Urea nitrate specifically from other nitrates
    Instructions
    1. Using #0530 test paper, swipe surface or object to be tested, or place suspected substance on paper; or may be used without test paper (spray directly on surface/object)
    2. Testing must use three DropEx bottles in sequence beginning with DropEx 1, then DropEx 2, and then DropEx 3. Using a new test paper, testing may resume with PDK Bottle A and, if no reaction, testing with PDK Bottle B+ (Bottle A must be used first). Testing stops when a positive color reaction occurs.
    3. Remove cap: turn bottle upside down and squeeze bottle to release drop of liquid on test paper or surface. Additional drops can be used if results are not certain.
    4. Repeat with each bottle until a positive color reaction occurs or until all bottles have been used.
    5. Wait few seconds for possible color reaction: see color chart.
    6. Use color chart provided to determine if color reaction is positive
    7. If there is any doubt about a color reaction, throw it away and retest
    8. If no color reaction within 5 seconds, the test is negative
    9. A color reaction may be as small as a speck or much larger if large quantity is being tested
