Vintage 1920 Marriage Certificate Bristol TN - Methodist Episcopal Church South

This item is an original 1920 Marriage Certificate which was officiated by Rev. J.A.H. Shuler (1859 – 1935) of Methodist Episcopal Church South (MEC-S).
I looked up the Reverend Shuler online and he apparently was a very active member of the Holston Conference in the 1920’s and is referenced in several publications of the church.
According to the certificate, the marriage apparently took place in Bristol, Tennessee on Dec 22, 1920.
The certificate is creased with wear & the edges are torn. It measures approx. 8” x 9”.
I found this folded up in an old family Bible – my great granddaddy’s. I believe the certificate
was for a relative, possibly a younger sister of his. I remember him but I didn’t know any or remember any of his siblings.

Each item tells a story for which I am grateful to now be able to document as a way of keeping some of the history of my family which is now gone. I wish I could keep a lot of it but I haven't the room.
